I have a friend who is thinking of putting up a website and was wondering all the details needed… starting up a website and maintaining it, all that good stuff. Do you have any suggestions? How much will it cost with creating one and maintenance?

Well, it really depends on what the website needs to do and whether your friend wants a cookie-cutter template or a custom template, a DIY website (Do It Yourself) and how much he/she’s willing to learn or just to have it all done for her. Minimally there will be an annual fee of about $50-$70 for the domain name and hosting (unless it’s a DIY package which is cheaper, but you don’t own your own website, or free, but expiring if you don’t do something with it every month). Can you give me more details on what he/she wants and I can give an estimate?
