Practicing art since the earliest ages of my life, I’ve become a well rounded artist and have an long experienced eye for design. Art has been my passion since about age five or sooner.
I landed in the web industry in 1999, shortly after moving from Northern to Southern California. I was fortunate enough to get a job doing graphics and layouts for Success Makers, a web development company, where I was taught Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and HTML on the job.
In 2001 I was hired by a screen-printing company, Pacifica T-shirts, where I was trained in Adobe Illustrator, learned the ways and terminology of the print industry and finally put my years of illustrative practice to productive use.
In 2004, I revisited the field of web design, honed my ability to build static pages with HTML and learned about XHTML, coding standards and other web languages. I decided to start my own freelance practice with this new knowledge and my artistry’s.
At Entrepreneur Media in 2007 I was trained on CSS, debugging and using a CMS. I worked with Ektron, MovableType and WordPress, all the while utilizing my graphic skills for mockups, ads and feature presentations. I also managed to obtain the know-how on much faster self-training, using online resources and much more.
During my job at Entrepreneur and since, I have built much web content utilizing PHP, WordPress, Drupal, Zencart, javascript and all that I’ve learned over the years.
